Join your local band! The City of Birmingham Brass Band is seeking brass and percussion players for twice-a-week rehearsals in the heart of your city! Are you proud of your skills, hungry to learn, share and improve, want to enjoy your playing and be a great team player? Do you feel you want to be part of happy, loyal, ambitious, super friendly sections? Do you fancy putting on a good show? The City of Birmingham Brass Band is expanding its membership to be big on brass, percussion and a band built to last. The times: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm. The location: the Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College concert hall (yes, we rehearse in a bright, spacious custom built concert hall!). B129FF! We want to make a splash so wont you choose to be part of this exciting brass and percussion experience in the city as a member? We offer exciting, memorable, modern, fun, creative and challenging concerts in the city and across the region which are as much fun to prepare as we hope they are to hear. A competitive aspect sees the band competing annually at a traditional brass band contest, currently in the third section. This means players have the chance to prepare a testing piece of music to play in public alongside other similar ability bands to gain valuable feedback from an experienced team of adjudicators to help the band progress. Solo and ensemble opportunities exist to provide variety, focus and fresh challenges for band players.
