Josefa Guevara (October 14, 1959 - March 16, 2014) Josefa Guevara, age 54, passed away Sunday, March 16, in Del Rio. She was born October 14, 1959, in Del Rio to Anastacio R. Guevara and Maria Del Consuelo Zambrano. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anastacio and Maria Guevara; and by her brothers, Ray, Mario, Arturo, Alfredo, Roberto, Roy, and Joel Guevara. Josie is survived by her sons, Brian Robert and Saul Christian-Matthew Guevara; brothers, Charlie Z. Guevara (wife Dora), Rene Guevara, and Anastacio Z. Guevara, Jr. (wife Laura); sisters, Linda Guevara (husband Bernie Hunt) and Alicia Guevara. Her four grandchildren are: Michael Connor, Colin Broderick, Anastacio Cooper-Dean, and Ezio Miguel-Angel Guevara; numerous nieces, nephews, and foster-children; her loving cat, Mew, and dog, Ski. Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at 9:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church with Father John Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
