Josephine (Jay) Strano, 92, passed away April 2, 2014. She was born in Winsted, CT on January 21, 1922 to the late Michael and Rose (Sottosanto) Falzone, where she remained a lifelong resident. Jay retired from TRW after 20 years of dedicated employment. She was the kindest and most generous woman who put others before herself. She was a wonderful Mother and the most loving Grandmother anyone could ever hope for. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed and how much she was loved by everyone who knew her. Jay could put a smile on every face and made laughter contagious. She had a beautiful spirit that will carry on through those who love her. Jay is survived by her daughter Barbara Jean Grimm of Florida and her son Louis M Strano of Winsted, Three granddaughters, Denise Lewis and her fiance Roland Orth, Kristina Grimm, and Jennie Lynn Strano, Two great grandchildren, Tyler Christopher and Mya Rose, her Goddaughter, Rosemarie Falzone, Three brothers, Sal Falzone and his wife Shelly, Mike Falzone and his wife Norma, Victor Falzone, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jay was predeceased by a daughter Bunny Gilbert, two sisters Susan Mahoney and Lucy Bosworth and four brothers Paul, Phillip, Charles and Joseph. Memorial services were held privately and burial will be held in the Spring.
