Josh Groban doesnt usually do much for me, but this is a HUGE exception. Goosebumps every. Single. Time. About as close to a perfect version of O Holy Night as Ive ever heard. The last time through the chorus, you can hear the money note coming, and then he hits it and its so amazing...but then the music starts to swell again and you realize hes going to hit it one more time even more powerfully, and then BAM. Sonic magic. The only improvement would be if he sang the first 2 lines of the second verse instead of using it as an orchestral interlude, because we miss out on some of my favorite lyrics: Surely he taught us to love one another, his law is love and his gospel is peace. But hes one of the few singers to include at least the second half of that verse: Chains shall he break for the slave is our brother, and in his name all oppression shall cease. Definitely worth the listen.
