Just a few days before Christmas last year, we had a special day at my house. Our 7 year old daughter got to meet Santa Claus for the first time. With all her medical challenges, we cannot take her to public places so never had an opportunity to take her to Santa. One of the Shriners at Kosair heard about her and arranged for one of them to come to our house. Unfortunately she got sick and was hospitalized, then there was a snow storm and finally after 3 reschedules, he came to our house. I was nervous and afraid she would be agitated and he would not be able to hold her. Miraculously she was super calm that day and snuggled in his lap. He held her for a long time and hummed music to her. We took lots of pictures and thanked him profusely at the end of the visit. My husband followed up with an email and attached some photos. This past spring, our goofy sons were Internet searching their names trying to find famous Limbergs and they stumbled across this article. We didn’t even know it was written or posted to the Kosair website. It didn’t seem appropriate to send out to our family and friends in the spring so I wanted to share it now as we are approaching Christmas.
