Just a foot note to my 98 ron super unleaded post. I do the same journey every day and the x was pinking on light throttle in third gear. I tried it today and the pinking has gone. Ill be using 98ron from now where its available. The knock sensors maybe on the way out. In theory the engine shouldnt pink as the ecu will retard the timing with a hit from the knock sensors. But....... Ill use super for now.
