Just a little user-hardware experience to share ... Had some driver issues with a new USB Wifi adapter recently, so in the process of finding a solution I updated my motherboard bios (it had been a while). That reset my bios config so I had another crack at optimizing it and found the new bios to be that much more stable that I was able to add 2 more turbo bins stably for an additional 200mhz overclock and could thus drop the CPU voltage further, lowering temperatures for my CPU which has in turn lowered my case thus GPU temps giving my GPU more headroom (which I will be subsequently overclocking more later tonight). Learn the lesson - always keep your component drivers and bioss fully up to date. It can make a hell of a difference, Im seeing about 5% (will be 10% with the higher GPU overclock) more performance across the board for this little bit of work, and no detrimental effects to speak of. Know your rigs, kids ;)
