Just a story I thought I would share I do not know this person but there is hope out there : My name is Megan and I am 30 years old. Married with three beautiful boys. I want to share with you, part of my story. On December 19 2006, 7 years ago, My mother had been searching for a rehab to send me to but the waiting list were a couple weeks/months long. I hated what my life had become and in my heart I knew I was better than the person I was choosing to be. I was ready to be anywhere but where I was. So much so, that I asked a friend to bring me to the police station to turn myself in, because I knew I had a warrent out for my arrest. I was tired of being drugged out and alone. My friend dropped me off, I walked in and approached the cop. He was probably in his 50s. I told him that I was here to turn myself in. He looked at me and said, Go home to your family, its Christmas. I said to him, I want you to arrest me, I have no where else to go and Im tired of this life. He says to me, maam, you need help, not jail. I called my mother and told her about the encounter I had with this cop. She didnt believe me. She called the police station and talked to the same cop and he told her the same thing he had told me. A couple days later a women named Mandi called my mother from Rays of Sonshine rehab Center. They werent suppose to take me for a couple months but Mandi told my Mom that they would take me in just three days!!!! If it werent for that cop that told me to go home, Im not sure if I would have ever made it to rehab. But I genuinely beleive that God put it in that elderly mans heart to turn me away because God knew he had better plans for me. For God to work in my life, he had to soften the heart of that man and for that, I will be forever grateful. Seven years ago, that a cop decided to listen to his heart and help save a girls life. MY LIFE!!! ♡ My Mother never gave up HOPE! There was a time that she made the decision to stop enabling me, but she never once gave up! To all you Mothers out there, keep your faith and hope! Your children need you, not to enable them, but to know that there is someone who believes in them. There is HOPE! I am living proof! You are all in my heart and my prayers!
