Just because someone feels like they have the word of The Lord for my life, doesnt mean I should openly receive what they have to say. The Bible clearly says to Test the spirit. (Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 1 John 4:1) because of this, I dont allow just anyone to counsel me. Especially if I dont know their (what their personal life looks like.) Ive learned in ministry that you have to guard your heart. I know people dont mean any harm, but a lot of times they give their advice based off of what they feel is the spirit (which Ive learned sometimes is emotion, & assumptions) because they dont know the details of my situation, & what God is showing me in the secret place. Dont let anyone undermine your intimacy with the Father. If you have ears to hear, He will speak loud and clear. Some people complicate the will of God way tooooo much! Its actually very simple. (Jeremiah 29:11-13) If He is making a way, dont put your two sense in to mess up His plan. Just be sensitive to HIS leading! We need to stop listening to the voices of others & stop basing our decisions off what they say, and start listening to the voice of God alone. & always Include His guidance with who you allow to speak into your life.
