Just finished the toughest four days cycling of our trip... it wasnt really cycling, we had to push, pull and carry our gear over a 2300m hill and through forests after deciding to try and trace an old British route built in 1944 that was closed off in 1990. We thought it would take two days, our second day we only made it 6km, we ran out of food and struggled to find enough water. Scary part? We saw one of Indias 2000 tigers: 100 meters from our tent at 8pm, fortunately it disliked frantic pot bashing and lit petrol on the floor. It was truly beautiful, complete solitude and most importantly away from Indias mental traffic. Glad to have a hotel room with hot water, cleanish sheets and lots and lots of food.
