Just got done listening to The Marshall Mathers LP 2. First impressions, better than Recovery. Lyrically, nothing hugely fresh, mainly more of the same stuff hes been talking about for years. From a production standpoint, its a really mixed bag. In my opinion a lot of the music sounds pretty mediocre, but a few tracks pleasantly surprised me with some of the best production Ive heard him over in a while. Favorite track after first listening; Headlights, without a doubt the closest to the genuine heartfelt Eminem I used to love, something thats unfortunately not repeated anywhere else in the album. All just my opinion of course.
