Just got home after seeing the new movie about James Brown. Guys, you must see this movie, it is fantastic! Academy Award is definitely in order! Sorry I dont remember the guys name who played Brown, he was simply awesome, if I didnt know better, I thought I was watching the Godfather of Soul on screen reincarnated! This young man had James Brown down to a tee! That strut, that voice, just remarkable, and those famous dance steps and footwork he was so famous for! Cameo appearances by Jill Scott and Tika Sumner (The Haves & Have Nots), great characters by both. Roles by Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer (reunited since The Help), were great as well! Talk about history, quite a few things will jog your memory as well as surprises during this film. Of course, the music was just spectacular, old songs I had forgotten about, but were instantly reminded of the good old days! Need somewhere to go tonight, or the weekend? Do yourself a favor and go see this movie! You wont be disappointed. I know James is smiling, this young man, who played Jackie Robinson this Summer, was absolutely excellent, as the Godfather of Soul!
