Just gotta love living in the most remote place in the lower 48 states. My day began with a cool 7 above temperature. Then followed by setting up breakfast and people walking into the kitchen and thanking me for getting up every morning to cook for them. So many positive comments for me..I love it!!! Today makes day 90 without a day off. I go in and do what I love...I feed people. I had the local Sheriff come in and put his hand on my shoulder and thanked me and told me how much he appreciates what I do. Usually they are putting handcuffs on me. I was planning on not working Christmas Day.....many people inquired about us being open...so, I will cook breakfast Christmas morning. You need to understand, the people who live here are not from here. We are a bunch of hard scrabble souls who have made this place our home. I wouldnt have it any other way. Lake City is a very amazing place. The thermometer says it is 31 degrees right now. I was sitting out on the south side of the house and it felt like 90. I just wish all of my friends could come here and experience this little place.....you just may never leave!!!
