Just had word from Reg Hall about this programme on BBC Radio 2 which is due to be aired next Wednesday 12th February at 10pm - turns out that in his early career, David Attenborough produced a traditional music series called The Song Hunter presented by Alan Lomax. Reg saw the live programmes on the army base where he was doing his National Service - this was his life changing experience - he went on to work with and record several of the musicians featured. Who knew we had Sir David to thank for getting Reg started with all his brilliant work!?
