Just heard of this today, there was little news of it. In my neighborhood. A twenty-two year old woman who had just moved here from Texas. He told her it was too dangerous to wait for the bus, and offered her a ride. He lured her to a park. Another young woman was her friend, was campaigning for someone at the farmers market in the neighborhood, last name of Park, running for Oakland City Council, I think. Havent researched it yet, I will. He helped crack this case. To woman campaigning for Park, he is a hero. I told her I would remember the name, and look into his overall record. Just a few weeks ago there was a demonstration against incarceration. Then I heard a most moving NPR program detailing the horrors of solitary confinement, essentially our prisons are our insane asylums, it is grim. Then I heard and read of this case, thought and felt viscerally her death and I knew that he is as demonic as those using blunt knives to murder in another place in the world. I rethought my newfound feelings of sympathy for the criminally insane. At some point a decision is made. The tragically horrifically wrong decision. Im sickened by all of the murderous violence by all the fascistic cretinous thugs. And we do need proper mental asylums, for the non-violent, and for the violent ones. The streets and prisons dont cut it. sfgate/crime/article/Arrest-in-rape-killing-of-Oakland-woman-5422545.php
