Just in - NV Energy says falling power circuits have sparked an outage that’s currently affecting a large portion of Reno. The 3:16pm power outage affects 4,300 customers. Affected areas include Glendale to Greg Street, through Terminal Way and Rock to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, even portions of El Rancho Drive in Sparks. There’s no current timeline on when power will be restored. An airport spokesman tells us the facility is on back-up power and has no disruptions or problems to report. All flights are still able to take-off and land and all airlines are able to issue tickets and boarding passes, etc. There’s no disruption at security.
