Just re-watched Dead Poets Society. Incredibly poignant movie and a great reminder to seize the day! While I forgot just how heart-breaking the end is, I appreciate my parents all the more for letting me go my own way with my schooling. This song that I found encapsulates so much of the movie to me. I love the call to brotherhood in the last minute or so of the song. Without a great community of people pushing us to greater heights, we never push ourselves beyond what we think is possible. That community for me has been RUF at Oklahoma State. I have lived through the good times and the bad times with this ministry, and have been challenged in relationships and in my faith to try to model Jesus as well as I am able (not well) over the years. Life is short. Thanks for living it with me RUF peeps.
