Just read an entire article on why I should hate The Big Bang Theory. While it raises a few valid points, some fell short and certainly didnt take into account why comedies are enjoyed by the average audiences of television in general. No one watched The Big Bang Theory for the science, they watched it for the scientists. The characters. Granted in Season 8 its clear that some characters have changed slightly but it hasnt made it any worse. I still love the show despite flaws; and therein lies its success, the ability to still be able to capture the attention of an audience with generic plotpoints and loveable characters. It doesnt make it a bad show. Just the opposite. It makes it likeable and easy to watch. There is more to say but I cant be arsed. Its a loveable show with loveable characters. Simples.
