Just returned from my first visit to Thailand and the one thing I can say is that the country is clean. Even in the busiest marketplaces in Bangkok, crowded like Indias Palika Bazaars and New Markets with Street Vendors thronging the pavements selling fruits, noodles , I did not find a single stray onion peel or paper litter. The people keep their own surrounding clean, there is hardly anything the Civic Authority can do beyond a certain point.
