Just seen some of the news from George Square in Glasgow and its utterly appalling from both sides of No and Yes, show some class people. Its scenes like this in Central Scotland from small minded thugs and bigots from both sides that reflect around the world and take away from the good we achieved over the past few days showing ourselves to be largely a peaceful democracy. Tonight in George Square both sides are at fault in my opinion Unionist and Nationalist campaigners alike that turned up there went purposely looking for trouble or conflict. It takes two sides to cause this chaos we seen earlier and both should have stayed home but they decided to meet and provoke each other after such a tense once in a lifetime referendum when feelings are high and wounds are raw. The scenes from George Square does not reflect the true Scotland and its people who voted Yes or No and only reflects a small portion of idiots from both sides of the argument. For me the police should have been much more switched on to what was happening and much like they do at Football matches steer both groups away from each other to different parts of the City. Had the Police had their wits about them they could have defused the situation much sooner and both sides would have been moved on in different directions. @policescotland #FAIL Yes we had an important referendum and a side won and a side lost. There can never be two winners so to both sides lets not spend the future gloating in one sides loss or holding resentment at another sides win. I think all of our population wants what is best for those closest to us, our families and friends. It can only be achieved by working together to make Scotland better as a country which requires everyone to accept the decision that was made last night as its one that still stands today, and will still stand tomorrow and the day after etc. Scotlands people as a nation decided on its future yesterday and its been finalized now, whatever the outcome was we would always have needed to work together. We can only work together though with peace and respect building the best country we can as a nation to pass onto the next generation of Scots. Taunting opponents and fighting in the streets wont achieve this though we need to put the Yes Or No to rest now as its over and move forward in solidarity as WE and not small groups of US vs YOU. If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner. - Nelson Mandela
