Just seen the amazing three hour long Interstellar movie - interstellar-movie/. To ensure the depictions of wormholes and relativity were as accurate as possible the Relativity Equations from Einstein Equations were used to enable tracing of light rays as they traveled through a wormhole or around a black hole- the CGI was scientifically accurate ! The only way for Cooper (one of the characters) to interact with the past is by sending information to Murphy (daughter) through GRAVITATIONAL waves, which is also described by Physicists as ripples in the fabric of spacetime. (Possible according to current Physics) (This was the only bit that stretched your imagination slightly - the addition of gravity asa fundamental force to spacetime to form a new dimension. Other than that relativity was everywhere, the science was very accurate - a treat for geeks !!)
