Just shared on my team page and thought Id share here, too. Think of this as building a house. You have all the tools you need. Now you need to offer the job to a few people to help build the house. You also need plans (goals). Some days weather will interfere, or a sick child, etc., that might hold you up. If its raining outside, that doesnt have to completely stop the building; maybe thats the day you go choose which paint youre going to use. And you need to focus on the big picture, the finished product, so you might want to hang a picture up of what the house will look like when youre finished to help keep you motivated. You cant quit on the 3rd day of building because you dont have a big, beautiful finished house yet (or anything that even remotely resembles a house). It doesnt work that way. It takes time to build a house, just like it takes time to build a business. If you work on it everyday youll see quicker results. If building a house is a hobby that you work on when you get around to it, or when you have nothing else to do, youre probably not going to move in anytime soon. I am focused on the big picture for many reasons. 1) I want to control my income and my time. I dont want to live paycheck to paycheck for the rest of my life. I want our time back so we can spend it as we please. I dont ever want to spend 8 hours a day cooped up in a tiny office with no control over my paycheck. 2) I want to work my husband out of a job so that he doesnt have to work outside on the hottest and coldest days of the year in a dangerous job. 3) I want to be surrounded with like-minded people. 4) I want to travel for freeeee. 5) I want to set a good example for my kids, and leave them with a legacy. 6) I want to help others find financial independence, or any of the other things listed above that they might want for themselves. I will do this by first doing it myself, and then teaching others that they will forever remain stagnant unless they welcome the daily disciplines that will set them apart from 95% of the world. (read The Slight Edge, and books by Jim Rohn and Earl Nightingale). If I can do it, anyone can. Im not a salesman. Im the biggest chicken on the planet. But I love this company, I love the product, I love the people, I love being in the drivers seat because I dont like being told what to do. Im tired of spinning my wheels. Life moves way too fast and Im taking control and setting the trajectory for my family. Does it look like a house yet? Whelp, the framework is up. And today Im going to pick out the paint.
