Just talked with Todd about Aukies necropsy. Her immediate cause of death was of course the plug of mucus and blood she coughed up and choked on, but she had gray fungus in one of her airsacs indicitive of Aspergillosis, and various tests all pointed to Asper though her immune response was good and the drug she was being nebulized with was working on beating back the infection. In otherwords, she might have survived the infection if it werent for the mucus she coughed up (which is also a symptom of Asper). Just very sad. I will be getting her ashes back and I plan to plant a couple of pear trees in her memory. She loved pears.
