Just thought we would provide an update and continue to call on your support. A few weeks ago we met with representatives from Minister Dixons office seeking an explanation on the legislation in regard to the school zone. Whilst this meeting went for over 1 hour and we provided lots of documentation and generated lots of questions and conversations the end result was that the Minister Dixons office would follow it up and the region would get back to us, nothing has happened since. This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. There is no legislative requirements to change the zone rather a regional decision without a real basis. The arguments dont match up and are not always accurate. The previous zone was a legitimate zone (despite some correspondence that states otherwise) and remained in place for 10 years. We need to continue to send emails, letters and make phone calls. We will not stop until the zone is reinstated. Strathmore Secondary College is such a great school because of the community that access the school. This community has a right to go to this school.
