Just went to the Italian Cash and Carry for some dried sausage for Mike. As I walked around I was flooded by childhood memories of Christmas Eve, from the dried cod fish, the olives and all the other fish. My Dad was Italian my Mom polish and German but we had Italian Christmas Eves, with all family and friends. We lived in a 3 bedroom ranch with one bathroom, we must of had over 50 people or more in this house and the food was amazing from snails and frog legs and shrimp and squid and so much more. My mom an amazing cook. This visit again reminded me of the true meaning of Christmas. It was also a little sad but also made me happy that I had the childhood that I did have and Ill always cherish the memories. I only wish Cody was born he would of loved all the fish. Thank you Mom and Dad, you were both awesome parents.
