Just when I start to get discouraged about military life, I get reminded how remarkable it is! Yesterday we were leaving to have dinner with friends and I saw that across the street at our neighborhood park the lawn was being mowed. Now because of the shutdown the base looks like a swamp because the contractors that mow it are layed off. Well it was being mowed by neighbors, parents wanting to have the playground good for our kids. Amazing how together we become in a time of need. They didnt know each other they just took it upon themselves and one by one came together for a better cause. This is why I love this lifestyle wouldnt change it..
