Just when we thought the George Zimmerman/TrayvonMartin case was - TopicsExpress

Just when we thought the George Zimmerman/TrayvonMartin case was over after Zimmerman’s acquittal, theObama Administration has taken the steps needed to filefederal charges, thus sidestepping the wellestablished doublejeopardy, against Zimmerman. Unidentified sources withinthe Administration have confirmed that Obama, and JusticeEric Holder at the Department of Justice have filed chargesagainst Zimmerman for “violating Trayvon Martin’s civilrights”.Double jeopardy is an often misunderstood concept inAmerican Law. The rule merely states that an individualcannot be tried twice for the same crime in the SAMECOURT. Liberal Justice Department officials often chargeAmericans with crimes from which they have previously beenacquitted by filing federal charges on a similar crime in afederal court.
