I was now preparing for mains exam as I was on safer side as per calculation of points.” The aggrieved candidates alleged that some of the aspirants who remained absent in the prelims exams were declared qualified for the mains. Aspirants said: “Some of our friends didn’t appear in the exams and their seat was also vacant in the examination hall. We were surprised to see them in the list of qualifiers for the mains.” The aspirants said they had begun preparations for the mains as they were confident that they had scored more than 300 points in the prelims. However, PSC officials said that they don’t make the answer keys public. “It is not only this year but we follow the pattern of UPSC as it doesn’t make the answer keys public as well.” Meanwhile, Coaching centres association of Kashmir (CCA) has condemned the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission for not revealing the answer keys of the KAS prelims exams. CCA Chairman Dr GN Var in a statement said: “The recently declared result had shown the cutoff marks for the selection as 288.57. But there are hundreds of students who after tallying their answer sheets easily get marks above 300, so somewhere somebody has goofed up.” Var asked the authorities to immediately release the answer keys to clear any doubts.
