KENYAMASI DIET - we usually say DAAR BHAAT SHAAK ROTLI KHAVAH CHALO BUT IF U LOOK AT THE POSTS BELOW - IF WE HAD ROTLI ONE DAY, WE DID NOT EAT RICE AND WE HAVE CUT OUT ROOTS FOR NOW OR POTATOES ETC… WE MUST NOT MIX RICE AND ROTLI - WE MUST NOT MIX POTATOES AND RICE AND ROTLI - THAT IS WHY MOST GUJJUS ARE FAT….our foods are healthy but we mix them wrongly or we add to much oil or we eat too much salt …so idea is to eat everything but not mix the traditional daarr bhaat shaak rotli…. todays lunch oroh and rice or chaas was carb and veg or starch but the first step is to learn to not mix it with rotli or bateta and shaak…. if u pass the first step then only u can go on to the next step in time….. also if u notice, the salad had no carrots today…yesterday we had carrots in the salad…so today we say not to carrots…. also notice…we put fresh garlic chunks in the oroh for those who can eat….also notice - there was no oil dripping in the oroh…. in a non stick pan one can work miracles…. also notice - the rice was one small bowl - but the chaas was a BIG mug…… also notice - we added rocket leaves in the salad today… also notice - the salt in the chaas and jeeroo was there - but tomorrow we will cut the salt by half and see if u notice the difference…. the idea is to do small changes over time….. the idea is not to lose a lot of weight fast but to lose weight over time by making slow changes - BUT FEELING FULL AND HEALTHY AND NOT HUNGRY… any diet that gives u a feeling that u r hungry is wrong - but of course everything is based on your own experience, your blood test and most importantly advise from your doctor and dietician. our nastoh is tasty but is it healthy? so eat it but slowly understand it and make changes to it…. for example - sev mamra- eat the roasted mamrah with all the khatoo and limbo or dungri etc…but cut out the sev and fried part…. if u like chevro- then try only one teaspoon to take away ur craving and put it by your tongue / taste bud area… but no need to eat a whole bowl…and slowly eat the sugar free and over time cut it out to once in a while… anything - if u like it - eat it but do not eat it again for a a few days - so ur mind does not register an addiction or crabbing for that taste…. however if u r strong - for three months do not eat nastoh, do not eat pickles, do not eat papaar, do not eat sugary indian sweets... for example - u will stop craving for rotlis everyday once u enjoy healthy shaaks with rice…and if u desire rotlis fine eat it but NO rice and no potato…but only every third day…idea ; slow changes - not drastic dramatic changes to shock your system… then over time in a week eat one table spoon less of the rice until u know u r full…. listen to ur stomach not ur mind… ur mind is hungry but stomach fills up very fast… how? chew chew chew chew 24 times - count whilst chewing and u will be surprised….. LIKE tomorrow breakfast is two idlees, sambhar but no ghee on top… lunch will be light but fun - either maag soup or baffelah wheat free cabbage free muthya.. and nice daai or chaas… snacks will include fruit, nuts, and if u craving - bhel without sev and without potato but equally tasty…. dinner - u will be so full - yet u will eat at 6;30pm - mushroom on rye or tofu or stir fry but no milk etc at night….must EAT BEFORE 7 PM however - the next day - u must go for a longer walk to karura forest where there is some gradient but no heavy stuff if u cannot manage…but walk and monitor your breathing…ur spouse and friends can come along but keep a little distance so each one can monitor their own breathing...
