KFC is now selling fish. I am not sure whether it is the same case in other countries but I saw today in FUTURE PARK (near AIT) in amazing Thailand! Earlier I posted a photo of 3-Star Chicken restaurant in NE Thailand which was selling more tilapia than chicken. Anyway, fish is finding space even in strictly chicken based fast food chain like KFC. Therefore may be a number of reasons: 1. To compete with McDonalds which sells Fish OFillet 2. Fish has become a necessary part of human diet, especially in SE Asia. 3. Fish items help attract more health conscious customers. 4. There may be some other reasons as well. Interestingly, fish comes with rice and green vegetables which is perfect meal for most Asians. I am sure KFC has right decision in adding this item, it should increase their sales and the income!
