KIM SMITH CONSULT 1/4/15 by Voice Coach Sally b.: Hi Kim...right off the top Enunciation and Breathing stand out as issues you should consider correcting BEFORE publicly posting anymore videos or audio performances of yourself...especially if you want to be taken seriously as an artist. It will also save you time and money later on when it comes to investing in studio time (Ill explain more on that later on in person). Doesnt sound like you have a major issue with pitch based from the audio you sent and you do have a pleasant voice so about 12 hours of vocal training (which by my standards can be achieved in 2 to 3 months, should do the trick. Can you harmonize? Id have to check out your ability to harmonize in person and Id help you boost your range a bit. Youd be all set just in time to work towards a Summer 2015 music release as long as you practice the things youll be taught daily as instructed by me. In addition to correcting enunciation and breathing well add what I call the cherry on top..that is...well upgrade your voice with new vocal dynamics and teach you vocal embellishments that are sure to get you the attention and credit you deserve. After that wed see if you are ready to transition from Singer to Artist. If so Id recommend reinventing yourself at that point. This means youd remove ALL videos and audio of you singing incorrectly and replace them with ONLY you at your best. I happen to know a few folks who can help you when you are ready to move on with branding, photos, etc. But please dont expect to transform over night. Its a lot of work and it is an investment. Are you prepared to invest time and money into your talent? Ill also show you how to right off your investments at Tax Time :) So YAY or NAY? Id say NAY for now but def YAY for later.
