KIMI: Well, me and her have got over the weekend at last. I had a fab first show, with wonderful critiques from the judges and I made lots of friends with lots of people and lots of cats. My results are: Saturday - I was awarded my very first EX1 Certificate (Excellent 1) and also got a Nomination to go through to the Best in Show judging at the end of the day. I got a Nomination medal!! At BIS judging I was against little Burmese kitten Mia, who came to say hello to me and welcome me to the show on my arrival. The judges voted for her so she won the Best 4-7 month old kitten. Sunday - I was awarded my second EX1 Certificate and the lovely Judge, Anne Veland, gave me an absolutely fantastic critique and I got another Nomination medal. This time I was against a Rex kitten for BIS that had traveled all the way from Scotland. His human, Michele, and my human sat together with their hearts in their mouths as the vote was split, but the decider was fortunately won by me so I was then up against the 7-10 month old kitten winner and once again the vote was split. Apparently, it always amuses human audience when this happens, but it was agonising for her and the Rex human. Sad to say that the other kitten won, so I was out of the competition, but I still got a little goodie bag! Here are some photos of me and my first show day.
