KINGDOM FIT LOVE IN ACTION Merry Christmas: MY MIRACLE ON PRESTON ROAD Christmas Eve, I decided that I needed to get as much accomplished BEFORE going into work as possible so not to be pressed for time later on and so I gathered up all of the gifts I had received over the past few months that were air marked to help several of our local Military families which, as many of you are aware, is now my... (KFLIAs) PASSION by simply dropping them off at either a local recruiting office and/or a neighboring fire department. To my surprise, I was shocked to find that driving up to a fire station and being greeted by a friendly fire person (any time of the day) seemingly is no longer the rule? The station that I went to was actually set up like Fort Knox and after having driven around the entire complex, seeing no sign of life, checking all doors, and being careful not to ignore the Do Not Enter signage, I thought it best to move on and go to Plan B...which was to wait until I got off of work that afternoon to then go by the ARMY recruiting office (which of course, was my initial consideration). Ok, so I get off of work at 11:30 and I am headed up Preston Road to the ARMY drop off place which I promise you, I had just seen the day before. I am circling the entire area but I see no ARMY location??? What in the world! All I want to do is drop of presents. Because I am pressed for time and beginning to feel a bite anxious, I started talking to God. I said LORD, help me, this isnt a difficult task. All I want to do is help make several military families happy this season and I am having challenges doing so. So, instead of getting frustrated, I simply decided that I would go back to the fire station...I was DETERMINED to get the packages in someones hand. So, as I pulled out of the parking lot to get back onto Preston Road (for no reason at all), I looked to my right and I saw a most beautiful site. There was a man dressed from head-to-toe wearing his full military uniform going into the gas station. W-H-A-T!!! and OMGoodness!!! As you can imagine, I tore into the parking lot, my mind was racing because I was elated about what God had just shown me. Simultaneously, I was saying in my spirit, Father, thank you so much for confirming Your Word in my heart which reminds me that You hold no good thing from those that love You. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this special opportunity...this special gift! Of course, I shared with Jason, (KFLIAs) purpose and what we are accomplishing. He called me, Mam, and promised to make sure that every gift given would find its way to the right person. Also, our presence outside the gas station began to cause some interest and like myself, most people love to see a man/woman in uniform. An older gentleman walked over to Jason and wanted to know what was going on and so he turns and begins sharing. (KFLIA) increased by two! Spreading love and serving each other through one-to-one personal encounters is what we are all about...one person at a time. Hallelujah!!! NEVER in a million years could I have planned such a wonderful encounter. Thank you Jesus. Gods LOVE and consideration knows no bounds. The Father is absolutely purposeful in everything He does. He orchestrated all of the so-called bumps in the road in order to show me that He has a better way for His will coupled with my desire to assist others. What I was able to receive was the truer experience...one more rich than simply dropping off gifts as an outward expression of doing a good deed. Jason and I became the deed. Amen! By far, this is one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. Thank you Almighty Father for caring enough about what it is that I do that you would confirm its validity by getting involved. BE SOMEONES ANSWERED PRAYER.
