KNOWING OUR IDENTITY Key Verse: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. What we do or how we look does not define who we are but it is the identity we find in Christ that makes us who we are as Christians. It is our belief that determines our behaviour and it is our behaviour that determines our actions. So to be better servants of Jesus, we must understand first the theory behind God’s word before going into action. We must believe in His word wholly so we can praise and worship him through our service for if our belief is intact, then our faith in God will also be intact and can never be shaken. Understanding the theory first before the practical will help us understand that Christ has filled us again when we made our exchange with him. So as servants of Christ, we are called to be saints (1 Corinthians 1:2) and so are we - saints who occasionally sin and who ask for forgiveness. Who we are determines what we believe in, so as we continue to be better Christians, we must live our life by faith in Christ, who loved us and gave himself to us (Galatians 2:20).
