KPFK News BREAKING: Los Angeles activists protesting the shooting of unarmed black men are gathering in Leimert Park right now in response to what organizers say is the militarization of Ferguson, Missouri in the fatal OIS shooting of Mike Brown. Local activists are also raising the case of Ezell Ford, a 25 year-old man with mental health issues who was also fatally shot by LAPD on Monday night. Another case, of a reported homeless grandmother who was beaten by CHP officers on the 10 freeway is also being raised.
