Kai Jamaa! Duniya ta lalace! I remember my secondary school days in Rimi college Kaduna. It was fun even with the strict disciplinary nature of the school. I wish I can bring back the hand of time. I wish I can bring back those sweet memorable days ,when I used to go with my friends to spend days in Dankama, from there to Jibia, without fear of any intimidation or thinking anyone will harm us. I remember an incidence back then in our first year in the college. We use to yab each other anyhow we so wish, without raising an eye brow or getting provoke. There was this particular incidence that is still fresh in my mind. I and my stubborn friends were yabbing our muslims friends and bullying them. unknown to us our seniors were behind us. Wahala! . ...guess what happened?. ...They punished us by asking us to do frog jump. And that was the end we continue playing with our friends again. That was how simple life could be then. If it were today, that would have been a jihad. We were free with each other, without suspicious of each other. Today, things have really changed. Where did we get it wrong? What happens to our friendship. Why did we allow politicians to use religion to break our bond of friendship. Did our holy books have been rewritten? Was the teaching on tolerance different from todays? We are now suspicious of each other in everything we do. When I look back and remember those sweet old days, I can only wish that we can trust ourselves again. Is there anyone here who misses those days as I do? #kanubariyat
