Kam Lasater and myself came up with a crazy idea. Long distance runners going down down a trail for multiple days with canoes carrying all the camping and support equipment. We recruited a team: Bruce Ditman, Miles Lasater, Andrew Orefice, Nicholas Spang, Benjamin Gardner, Benjamin Fromm and Robb Armstrong. We picked a spot where the Housatonic River and the Appalachian Trail are side by side and headed out on an adventure, Logans Run . Each of the two days the runners covered almost a half marathon in rough terrain. The canoers contended with cold weather and tough river conditions. The challenge of logistics and endurance was exhilarating. It was a lot of fun to be in a cooperative endeavor with this great group of people. I am ready to plan the next adventure.
