Kathy and I work to get funds for the Athen-Limestone County Animal Shelter, that overflows with wonderful, wonderful pets. Kathy adopted a beautiful German Shepherd-Malimute mix yesterday. So-o- sweet and smart. I started the Teton Transport Fund to transport as many from our overflow to states that really want and need shelter dogs. (donate online or Box 842, Athens 35612) Its tax deductible and every animal transported has gotten a home. ( Go to website and facebook for more info.) Theres also the sponsorship program where you can sponsor a pet for $110 and rescues will much more readily take them and transport them. Look online at Friends of the Athens-Limestone County Shelter for updates. Priscilla is the director--marvelous. Its on Highway 72, next to where Russell-Stover used to be. Go adopt your next best friend, donate to my Teton Transport Fund, and sponsor a pet whenever you can. (Always talk to Priscilla when youre ready to sponsor.) These helpless animals have only us to depend upon.
