Katy Regnery and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.... Okay, so I was reading a Facebook chain this morning ( TL Duryea ) and one of the commentators on the post noted that a lot of people doing the challenge didnt actually know why they were doing it. (I find this a little hard to believe since presumably they take out their checkbooks after the challenge and write a check to ALS - wouldnt they be curious about the acronym for the disease they were fighting?!) Anyway, its such a fast-moving, devastating disease and its received so little attention for so many years. In fact, I tried to remember the last time the world sat up and took notice of ALS, and it led to a bit of trivia Ive included in my own challenge.
