Keep it simple... What are important things for fat loss? When it comes to choosing the right diet or exercise program, there is so much confusion and nonsensical information that simple things are made complicated for no reason. Nutritional balance is about calories in vs calories out (using more calories than you consume/calorie deficit AJ) and nutrient density of the food you eat. Include veggies and make sure to have a (more or less) fixed protein and fat intake. Then you just have to count the grams of carbs you include, which is much simpler than counting calories and macros. Training can make a world of difference to how your body deals with carbs. You want to include efforts from 30 seconds to 2 minutes with the intensity that matches the time you spend grinding. Whether you do intervals or use your weight training as an interval training, the same rules apply. If you think about it, weight training is a form of interval training since you have to take time between sets in order to keep lifting the same weight. From 30 seconds to 2 minutes (supersets/triple sets/giant sets AJ) is ideal because that is when the body will use the most glycogen, creating a need for carbs. That doesn’t mean all of your training should be done this way, but if fat loss is the goal, you should definitely do a lot of this. Source: Anthony Dexmier - Fitness professional & Nutrition Author
