“Keep the Devil at bay with… a spiritual apple a day” WEDNESDAY JUNE 5, 2013: “The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people.” (Deuteronomy 7:7) Do you also sometimes feel so miserable, that you think you are the stand-in for Atlas, carrying the full weight of the world upon your shoulders? Do you sometimes feel that God favors everybody else and forgot all about you? Well… don’t! In the text we read that God chose Israel out of all the nations of the world, but instead of all their plans always coming together, we read stories of trials and tribulation in their history as written in the Bible. Don’t despair and don’t lose hope my sibling in Jesus. It’s the light of Christ that gives the dark cloud above your head that silver lining. Be assured that God “set His love upon you and chose you” and paid for you, with the Blood of His Son. Prayer: Dear father God. I pray that… You light up my life, and you give me hope to carry on. You light up my day and fill my life with song”. Amen.
