Kenora Athletic Soccer Club U10 Girls - Lake of the Woods Lightening We are looking forward to working with a group of U-10 girls (born in 2005) who are enthusiastic about the game of soccer. We have not undertaken a media campaign to find everyone in the woodwork, but if you know of any who would be interested to join us (and are enthusiastic and committed to learning), please spread the word. This isnt meant to be an exclusive group of girls, or a hand-selected group based on ability. Our goal is to spend time developing soccer skills primarily through fun drills and build a team that will represent Kenora Athletic Soccer Club in 2-3 tournaments this coming spring/summer. We will spend once per week training from Tuesday January 6 to March 10. We have rented half of the indoor soccer field from 4-6 PM. An hour of this time will be dedicated to drills and coaching (at least). Please give feedback on your interest and availability during this time - especially if it is a significant barrier. Any of the U-8 girls coached by Lyle Wiebe who wish to join us are welcome. Costs are not easy to define at this time. We are applying for sponsorship, and will have a better idea of costs in the New Year. I hope that these will be less than $100 (excluding travel costs.), but the previous range has been up to about $200. Clint Fenelon will be the team head-coach. Darren Desjarlais and Clay Hammett will assist. I (Clay) will do my best to manage the team. We will be using this TeamSnap application as our primary source of communication -- to share news, collect fees etc. There is an app for the iPhone / android.
