Kia Ora .. most of you by now are aware it is with sadness that I am selling my property at Tapui. Im also aware of some locals discontent in me doing this, I can only guess this is the case as no one has contacted me directly, however what I can say is ....unlike many who were gifted their properties at Tapui, I brought this property with a mortgage at the current government valuation at the time. You may be interested to know I still have a very big mortgage on this property still today. The situation with me working in Australia and ongoing issues with break-ins to the property over time has left me with obvious concerns to leave my property vacant and past arrangement to have family stay at the property in the past & payment by way of just taking care of my property & mow the lawns, didnt work. There is NO reason that someone from home, cant purchase this property and retain within the whanau. While I cannot give this property away, I would give serious consideration to a local with a reasonable fair offer. the agent dealing with the property is being sold by Barfoot and Thompson and its my preference anyone interested contact the agent,I do not want to discuss money with whanau. Im not getting into specifics why my personal circumstances require me to sell this property, but know this... it is with a heavy heart I am doing so.
