Kim and I had a good evening at the Good Samaritan Inn Dinner but I got really distracted as Josh spoke about the Heroin epidemic in Hamilton (yes it is an epidemic). He asked the question,What can we do?. It made me think of last Sunday on Bailey Square, an area of heavy drug dealing. We setup for our outreach and when the music started the dealers left. They did not return until we began tearing down. Shine a little light and like cockroaches they scattered. So in answer to what can we do is first step, pray. Second step is walk out of the front door of your churches and take it to the streets. We cant stop any more from dying sitting inside. We cant stop anymore from going to Hell by sitting inside and condemning them. Lets not be consumed by ourselves and step out the front door and reach somebody. A group of people from one church on Saturday or one group on Sunday will not do it. It will take all churches stepping out....together. Those are just the first steps but we cant get to the last step until we take the first step.
