**** NEW VACANCY**** We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Handler for our client based in Bury St Edmunds. The made purpose of this role is to assist and carry out insurance administration. Provide day to day servicing of clients insurance programmes in timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner. Main duties and responsibilities: • To provide broking and administration services to clients which includes: giving instructions to insurance providers, checking policy documents for accuracy, handling insurance premiums due, maintaining credit control, processing renewals and managing own files as per procedures. • Collate and prepare reports for both client and insurer market. • To understand a client’s situation, opportunities and problems and design appropriate solutions. • Ensuring where possible, premiums are settled in accordance with company credit control • Assist team performance by regular communicating with colleagues and manager to resolve issues and raise concerns. • To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations E.G FSA • Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with insurers and underwriters • Ensure that customer complaints are identified and handled strictly within the company’s complaints procedure. • To keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments via use of E-learning, internal training and reading market related materials. • The candidate will at times act on behalf of the insurer and the insured and manage potential conflicts of interest and for the fair treatment of customers ensure they follow systems and controls and procedures accordingly.
