Know why people like the president hate talk radio? Because the prefer that the masses get their information from a 90 second blurb of cleverly hammered out words, mixed with colorful pictures not necessarily connected to the issue being discussed, and scrolling text at the bottom of the screen, a non-stop headline of unrelated but breaking stories, then on to another related blurb-scroll-fest of some related topic and then another related topic, all for about a total of seven minutes and then the commercial break, that tells you what you want to buy, to need, must have. Then back to the stories, your lucky t get anything further on the important stuff and that will shared with a story on some human interest piece purportedly a result of if only this, or because of that. Thats the way they want you to get the issue ... And they try an run these hourly shows with this or that National Treasure, to give commentary and insite to the various topics of the day, but they still have the distractions in the corners and the scrolling, and the commercial breaks! An hour becomes 34 minutes, but man a hagen daz sounds good! Oh and lets talk about the market share, TV news about 3 million each maybe 4 or even 7. (Talk radio 12 million on Mark Levin on any given nite alone.) They hate talk radio because its the opposite of that, no pictures, no scrolling, no infinity of comercials, but rather one or two minutes at the top and bottom of the hour. Talk radio is personal in right there in your ear undivided attention, they really hate that for thirty minutes or even for an hour a topic can be delved into in detail, sometimes for all three hours closely related subjects are articulated, interviews conducted, facts checked verified and played back sometimes several times, whole speeches in words of the speaker can be analyzed in detail not chopped up into a sound bite. They hate Talk Radio because only conservative talk dominates, liberal or progressive radio fails to get market share and their hosts disappear time after time, NPR stays on because they are government funded radio but no one listens its like PBS and the dont have a sesame street. I think that people cant bear to listen to leftist talk because its somehow the antithesis to the natural order of things and instead it grates on the mind and the unindoctrinated turn away.
