L.A.M.E. Alan Smith despatches The Boss in his Bell 206A JetRanger VH-AND [474] on his nightly flight home to the Melbourne bayside suburb of Mount Eliza in April 1977. In 1967 Ansett became the first commercial Australian operator of the type initially operating VH-ANC [14] and later AND. Sir Regs personal pilots Max Holyman and later Cal Payne were with the company for many years. VH-ANC was sold to Airfast and was written off in 1974 and VH-AND though still surviving, is no longer owned by Ansett. It is currently owned by John Weymouth at Victoria River Downs. Pic. Greg Thom
