LADIES!!! This post is for you! Lets be honest, everyone hates their dreaded periods. We all hate how our emotions run all over the place and the cramps. Not to mention the cost of tampons and sanitary towels. I totally recommend a menstrual cup! These are great alternatives to tampons. If you get the reusable ones they are little silicone cups that you place up there. Yes in your vagina. You may be thinking ew why would i want to use one of those? well, tampons and sanitary towels hold harsh chemicals, the reason why you would think your period smells is because of these chemicals whereas menstrual cups are just skin safe harsh chemical free silicon cups. Toxic shock syndrome is related to the use of tampons and you can only keep tampons in for up to eight hours max (says on the boxes) but menstrual cups can give up to twelve hours of protection and heres the good part... THEY LAST UP TO FIVE YEARS! you can sleep with them in and you cant feel them! they wont get lost and they are easy to pull out. these dont create as much waste as tampons and towels. People may be uncomfortable with this post or the idea of placing something up in their body when on their period but i assure you that your period is totally natural and you put tampons up there so i really see no problem.
