LANCASTER, CA This is Misty Blue. She has a very sad story and needs your help. Misty was found in Palmdale, Ca by a Good Samaritan who was able pick her up. She was roaming in the desert with a thick leather collar and a note stuck to it saying "Hello, my name is Misty and I am HOMELESS" on it. The woman was unable to keep her because she already has five dogs. Her and her husband brought Misty into my work at Petsmart and were looking for help. I took her in due to their next stop would be the infamous LANCASTER HIGH KILL SHELTER. HalfWay to Home rescue agreed to pay for her medical as long as I could take her in. Upon medical evaluation, they discovered she has CANCER and had a mastectomy and spay to remove the obvious. Also, Misty was CHIPPED in Cerritos, Ca. With the name Misty Blue. After 3 days of trying to contact the owner, we assume the worst: she was indeed DUMPED. Now, this is where we need help. MISTY IS LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME OR FOSTER. She is an 8 year old SENIOR American Bulldog, who is GREAT with other dogs. Misty needs your help so she can live her days out in a loving and caring home, after all, we are not 100% the cancer will not come back.
