LEGENDS WIN 4-RIDER After a hard fought battle with Team Innovation Africa the Legends of the Road prevailed, finishing in a time of 5 days, 11 hours and 41 minutes, with an average overall speed of 22.93 mph. While their time fell a bit short of the record of 23.06 mph set by action Sport in 2004, it was nonetheless very impressive for a rookie team. The team consisted of Dave Mirra, the most decorated X Games athlete of all time; Micky Dymond, a 2-time AMA (American Motorcycle Association) Professional Motocross Champion and one of the pioneers of the sport of motocross freestyle; Ben Bostrom, an AMA Superbike, Supermoto, and Supersport Champion who after retiring from professional motorcycle racing became a professional mountain bike racer; and Dave Zabriskike, a 7-time US National Champion professional road bicyclist who has competed in the Tour de France and has won a stage of the Giro d’ Italia.
